Omni Heroes Map: World Areas and How to Find Your Way
The Omni Heroes map is one open world of towns, forests and the lake. Learn how zone labels, story quest markers and your hoverboard help you find your way.
Quick answer
The Omni Heroes open world is made up of towns, forests and the lake. To find your way to a location, track a story quest: the quest panel lists your objectives, a glowing green trail of arrow markers shows the route, and a floating marker displays the remaining distance in studs.
- Towns, forests and the lake are the main explorable area types in the open world.
- The minimap names the zone you are in, with labels like THE FOREST, EAST TRAIL and BELLWOOD FOREST.
- Tracked story quests add a green arrow trail on the path plus a distance marker counted in studs.
What the open world is made of
Omni Heroes takes place in one connected open world rather than separate levels. The developer's own description of it is simple: "explore towns, forests and the lake, ride your hoverboard and find secrets." Towns, forests and the lake are the main explorable area types, and the rest of the map hangs off those.
You don't have to memorize the layout, because the game labels where you are. The minimap shows the name of the zone you're currently in, with labels like THE FOREST, EAST TRAIL and BELLWOOD FOREST. When you're unsure which area you've wandered into, glance at that label.
How to find your way to a location
The game's built-in navigation comes from tracked story quests. During the first quest, Act 1 Episode 1 "It Came From Space," the guidance worked like this:
- Check the quest panel. It lists the objectives you're currently tracking, such as "Watch the meteor fall" and "Find the crash site."
- Follow the green trail. A glowing trail of arrow markers appears on the path, pointing the way toward your tracked objective.
- Read the floating marker. It shows the remaining distance to the objective in studs — 46 studs at one moment, 169 at another, as the trail bent around the forest path toward the crash site.
Quest guidance is the dependable option when your destination is a tracked objective — it walks you there even when you don't know the map yet. For destinations that aren't quest objectives, navigate by area instead: use the minimap's zone label to confirm where you are, then travel between the landmark area types — a town, a forest or the lake — until you reach the one you need.
Getting around faster
The official description pairs exploring with riding your hoverboard, and it's the intended way to cover the map's distances. Ride it while you cross between towns, forests and the lake, whether you're chasing a quest objective or free-roaming for secrets.
Let the story quests be your map tour
Story quests are followed act by act, and they route you through the world's areas as you play. If you're just starting out, following them is the easiest way to learn where everything is — our Omni Heroes beginner guide covers that route in detail. Once you know the layout, exploring becomes its own reward: the developer ties open-world exploration directly to finding secrets scattered around the map, which we cover in the Omni Heroes secrets guide.
